    The Masters Tournament is how they say - unlike any other. There is something about the gorgeous spring azaleas blooming on that Georgia golf course that has me (and everyone else it seems) giddy about the warm days ahead. We’ve rounded up our favorite recipes, decor and tips for throwing a Masters party that is unlike any other. Leah’s Tips for Success  The Masters has a lot of unique recipes that are essential to bringing the Augusta National spirit to your home. In my opinion, it’s 100% worth splurging on the Taste of the Masters food kit which takes care of the bulk of your food, leaving you with only your drink (transfusions for a new twist or Arnold Palmer for a classic) and your dessert (peach ice cream sandwiches) to worry about!  Transform your space with greens and yellows and gingham and stripes. Think green serving trays, gingham tablecloths and napkins, yellow tulips with green hydrangeas (but if you have azaleas in your yard, clipping those is a must!).  Do you have a golfer in the house? Look beyond traditional table decor with golf accessories. Golf coffee table books, golf towels, golf balls, golf tees. These items serve as great decorative fillers on your table!  If you are quick to pull out your silver and china like I am, take a pause here. While the Masters is an exclusive event, the overall vibe of the tournament is far from pretentious. St. Patrick's Day in Savannah is a huge celebration—something that I've come to embrace as the years go by, calling this city home. I wanted to find a Rice Krispie treat recipe using the marshmallows from my beloved Lucky Charms cereal to make a festive St. Patrick's Day treat. After searching and searching, I came up empty, finding that most recipes use the entire box of Lucky Charms cereal. Call me traditional, but I was not about to substitute Rice Krispies for a Rice Krispie treat! Enter Amazon. It's 2024, and with the luxury of Amazon, we seemingly have everything at our fingertips, including bags of Lucky Charms Marshmallows. I quickly ordered, and after a thorough taste test, I concluded that these marshmallows were, in fact, the real deal. P.S. Here's the direct link for the marshmallow only bag!  So, here you have my St. Patrick's Day Lucky Charm Rice Krispie Treat recipe—a traditional Rice Krispie treat with added St. Patrick's flair. Ingredients: 10 tablespoons of butter 1 and 1/2 bags of mini marshmallows 1 regular box of Rice Krispie cereal 1 bag of Lucky Charms marshmallows only A heavy pinch of salt Instructions: In a large pot, melt 10 tablespoons of butter and 1 1/2 bags of mini marshmallows over low heat until the mini marshmallows and butter are completely melted and the mixture is smooth. Remove from heat. Add the Lucky Charms marshmallows to the Rice Krispie cereal. Mix gently, ensuring the cereal is evenly coated with the colorful marshmallows. Gradually fold the marshmallow and cereal mixture together. Be gentle to maintain the distinct shapes of the Lucky Charms marshmallows throughout the mixture. Enhance the sweetness with a heavy pinch of salt. This helps cut the sweetness in the best way! Transfer the mixture into a greased pan. The key trick here is to not press down too much! Just ever so lightly to form a square. Press too much and you'll get (in my opinion) too dense of a treat. Allow the treats to cool and set for at least an hour. Once set, cut into squares and serve to your friends and family. Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days! These treats would be so fun in your little one's lunchbox on St. Patrick's Day. Need a quick and easy game day appetizer that's sure to be a crowd-pleaser? Look no further than our Crock Pot Buffalo Chicken Dip! This easy concoction is made with just five ingredients using a combination of shredded rotisserie chicken, zesty buffalo sauce, and a medley of cheeses that will have your guests coming back for more. Ingredients: 1 shredded rotisserie chicken (about 3 cups) 1 cup ranch dressing 8 oz cream cheese 1 bag (about 2 cups) shredded cheese (cheddar or a blend of your choice) 3/4 cup buffalo sauce Instructions: Prepare the Shredded Chicken: Start by shredding the rotisserie chicken into bite-sized pieces. You can easily remove the skin and bones, leaving only the succulent meat. Transfer to the Crock Pot: Put all the ingredients (shredded chicken, ranch dressing, cream cheese, shredded cheese, and buffalo sauce) directly into the crock pot. Spread the mixture evenly. Cook on Your Preferred Setting: Set your crock pot to low heat for 3-4 hours or high heat for 1-2 hours. Stir the mixture occasionally to ensure even cooking and to prevent any burning along the edges. Serve and Enjoy: Once the dip is hot and bubbly, it's ready to be served! You can keep your crock pot on the warm setting to maintain the perfect temperature throughout your gathering. Serving Suggestions: Provide an assortment of dippables such as tortilla chips, celery sticks, carrot sticks, and sliced baguette. Garnish the buffalo chicken dip with chopped green onions, cilantro, or extra shredded cheese for an added visual appeal. This is our go-to for watching football. Keep it in the crockpot so it stays warm and it will get devoured, we promise! But if not, it freezes too. 

If you're looking to add a touch of creativity and color to your space, crafting your own bobbin frame can be a great way to level up your art. A bobbin frame can make a charming decorative piece or a unique gift. In this DIY guide, we'll walk you through the steps to create a 5-inch by 5-inch bobbin frame. Materials You'll Need: Wooden Balls Wooden Frames Sample size of wall paint (e.g., Benjamin Moore) Primer Sealant Wood Glue Paint Brush Step 1: Glue the Wooden Balls to the Frame Start by placing the balls on the frame to make sure the spacing is as you want it. Next, apply wood glue to the wooden balls. Place the balls on the frame as you have them laid out. Press firmly to ensure they adhere securely. Allow the glue to dry as per the manufacturer's instructions. Step 2: Prime the Frame Once the wooden balls are securely glued, it's time to prime the frame. Apply a thin and even coat of primer using a paintbrush. Priming helps create a smooth surface for the paint to adhere to and enhances the frame's durability. Allow the primer to dry completely. Use a spray sealant and follow the manufacturer's instructions for an even application. The sealant will provide a protective finish and enhance the longevity of your bobbin frame. Once the sealant has dried, your DIY bobbin frame is ready to be displayed. Use it to showcase a cherished photo or artwork, or simply hang it on your wall as a decorative accent. Get creative with your choice of colors and patterns to make the bobbin frame uniquely yours!

The holiday card game can feel overwhelming with all the other to dos on our list during the holiday season, but the act of sending a holiday card is the perfect way to spread love and joy this holiday season. Here are some tips to make the process easier for you. When should I send out my Holiday Cards?  I know we don’t live in a perfect world, BUT, your ideal time to send out a holiday card is around the first week of December. This is after Thanksgiving but still far enough in advance where your recipients have time to enjoy your cards. Some display them on the mantle, others get creative and have holiday card Christmas trees!  To allow yourself time to stamp and send, order your cards two weeks before Thanksgiving.  At Kamu our final deadline is December 9th! Check the collection out here. How many cards should I order? This number is totally dependent on your inner circle. Our most popular quantities are 50 and 75. Sometimes this number is higher if you’re announcing a new baby, new marriage, or a new address. However, there is one important thing to do each year. Take note of who sends YOU a card. Keep it in a spreadsheet on your computer. Here at Kamu, we think it’s a thoughtful thing to send cards to those who send you cards. So, if you get a card from your Aunt Shirley’s step son’s kids then you should send a card to them as well.  How should I sign the card? If your card is to loved ones then it’s nice to be more personal with your sign off. Ideas include: With love (or with all our love)  Warmly (or Warmest wishes) Your friends Lots of love The most common ways to sign your name are listing just your last name, just your first names, or doing both. When putting your last name, use an "s" or an "es." Never use an apostrophe s (‘s). For example, Sally and Tim Johnson would be listed as “The Johnsons." For listing first names, it’s typical to go in order of child’s age, placing the youngest child last. See our cards for examples!
